The City of South El Monte’s Dial-A-Ride is a shared transportation service that offers curb-to-curb transportation to residents who are 60+ years old or disabled (any age) to ensure they continue to live independently in their community. Services are available Monday through Friday (except major holidays), from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Riders can use the service to and from any location within the South El Monte City limits and up to 15 miles outside city limits for medical appointments only. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance with the transportation dispatcher or assistant.

Submit a Transportation Service Application (PDF). Proof of residency will be required when application is submitted and if disabled, a form signed by a physician, attesting to a disability which hinders mobility and the use of public transportation.
Transportation services are also provided to youth who participate in the City’s Community Services Department youth programs.
The City of South El Monte operates its programs, activities, and services without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes he or she has been subjected to any unlawful discriminatory practice protected under Title VI may file a complaint with the City.
