Military Recognition Programs

The City of South El Monte pays homage to the men and women, who have served our country with various military recognition programs:

Patriotic Commission

Additionally, the City has a Patriotic Commission which handles all matters pertaining to patriotism and the civic recognition of both active and veteran military personnel. The Patriotic Commission meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (unless noted) at 6 pm at City Hall, 1415 Santa Anita Avenue in South El Monte. For additional information, please call (626) 579-2043. 

Flags of Valor Veteran Support Program

Funds raised through the Flags of Valor program are dedicated to supporting South El Monte veterans in need. Temporary assistance may include housing, food, transportation, and family support.
