About Street Sweeping Street sweeping services are performed on a weekly basis on city public streets to enhance the aesthetics, health, and safety of our community. The street sweepers clean our streets and reduce the amount of debris entering our storm drains, reduce the potential for flooding, and prevent pollutants from entering local rivers and the ocean. Additionally, street sweeping helps the City comply with state and federal storm water quality requirements.
